Podiatrist

Podiatrist works alternate Tuesdays at Lejeune. They have 17 years experience in both public hospitals and private practices treating all disorders of the lower limbs.

Areas of practice include:

Podiatry treatments of toenail and skin pathologies removal of corns and callus and treatment of ingrown, gryphotic and fungal toenails.

Surgical podiatry services include wedge resections and surgical removal of toenail under local anaesthetic.

Diabetic foot assessments, vascular and neurological foot assessments,

Biomechanical assessments – heel spurs, heel and arch pain, plantar fasciitis, achilles tendonitis, aching legs, weak ankles and ankle pain, flat feet, over pronation, foot alignment problems, bursitis, bunions, calf and hamstring tightness, haglunds deformity, mortons neuroma, metatarsalgia.

Osgood Schlatters disease, seasamoiditis and shin splints, prescription of custom orthotics.

Gait assessments – children and adults.

Wound management – ulcer/wound debridement, dressing, prevention and education.

Sterilised podiatry instruments incur a small fee just to cover costs.
